OBERDAN: how to reach |
By car
Viareggio is set at the crossing of two highways:" Genova-Livorno" and " Firenze-Mare".
If you land in Pisa, then you use the "Genova-Livorno".
If you come from Florence, then you use the "Firenze-Mare".
In this case, in proximity of Lucca, be sure to take the VIAREGGIO-GENOVA
direction.
In both cases, your exit in Vareggio will be "Marco
Polo" (the sign is white, not green as usual). If accidentally
you go past it, then take the "Viareggio nord" exit
and ask directions to the "Lungomare di Viareggio"
At the end of the exit ramp in Marco Polo, take right direction
seaside, and go straight to the seaside promenade. Take the promenade,
leftbound, and go as far as you can go: at the end the promenade
crosses the navigable internal waterway. Take left along the
canal, then cross the first bridge to the right, then straight
ahead. You cross a small tree-lined square, then a larger street
(traffic light). Go ahead: this is via Oberdan, number 14 is
on the left side. Parking is always allowed on the lift side
of the street.
