Interesting location, just beside the city center, yet quiet and close to the beaches. Two different kind of beaches exist in Viareggio: one is along the promenade, with bathing establishments, swimming pools, wellness centers, restaurants, and so on; one is totally natural,with dunes and mediterrenean vegetation (and free) and can be reached throughout a huge park.
It is possible to rent bykes for the day at the entrance of the park: riding a byke is the best way to go round in Viareggio.
The Oberdan house is ideally located to access both. The marina is nearby as well, with its fabulous yachts and intersting shipyards.
