MUTINO: how to reach |
Mutino is a tiny village where the road ends, hillside facing the sea, inland of Massarosa. The Highway Viareggio-Firenze passes by: exit Massarosa. At the end of the exit-ramp, take left to Massarosa, then past Massarosa direction Lucca , to Bozzano. Past the sign BOZZANO, be sure to find the signs: "Centro" on the left. Follow the trafic indications, always taking left when a forking occurs (spot the bell-tower of the church to direct you).The road leads to the center of the village. Past the back of the church ( small square with a monument), follow the sign "CHIATRI" at the end of the square. This a winding road. ALWAYS BLOW YOUR HORN and be a careful driver!
The road goes
uphill crossing a wood, along a stream. If you set the meter
of your car at the beginning of the Chiatri road, then past
1.6 km you find the sign to Mutino: a small, yet asphlated
and well maintained road to the right takes you to the house
(long yellow house with cypress-trees, on the right side).
